Legal & Licensing

Sign the Independent Contractor Agreement
Review and sign the VHA Independent Contractor Agreement before beginning any client work.
Legal
  1. You will receive the Independent Contractor Agreement via email from Mark Deacon.
  2. Review all terms carefully — pay particular attention to the commission structure, referral fee terms, and termination clauses.
  3. Sign electronically via the provided link.
  4. A copy will be emailed to you automatically upon signing.
  5. Contact mark@veteranhomeadvantage.com if you have any questions before signing.
Transfer Your License to VHA in ADRE
You must transfer your Arizona real estate license to Veteran Home Advantage in the ADRE system before representing any clients.
Legal
  1. Go to azre.gov and log into your ADRE licensee portal.
  2. Navigate to License Management → Transfer License.
  3. Search for Veteran Home Advantage as the receiving broker.
  4. Submit the transfer request — there is a small ADRE transfer fee.
  5. Mark will receive a notification and approve the transfer on his end.
  6. You will receive a confirmation email from ADRE once the transfer is complete — typically 1-3 business days.
  7. Do not represent any clients until the transfer is confirmed.

Confirm License Transfer with Mark
Once ADRE confirms the transfer, send Mark a copy of your updated license confirmation.
Legal
  1. Download your updated license from the ADRE portal showing Veteran Home Advantage as your broker.
  2. Email a copy to mark@veteranhomeadvantage.com with subject line: “License Transfer Confirmed — [Your Name]”
  3. Mark will activate your profile on the VHA website once confirmed.

Agent Profile Setup

Send Your Professional Headshot
A high quality professional photo is required for your agent profile page on the VHA website.
Content
  1. Photo must be at least 800x800px, JPG or PNG format.
  2. Professional attire preferred — business casual or better.
  3. Clean background preferred — solid color or simple outdoor setting.
  4. Email your photo to mark@veteranhomeadvantage.com with subject: “Agent Photo — [Your Name]”
Submit Your Agent Profile Information
Send all the details needed to build your agent profile page on veteranhomeadvantage.com.
Content

Email the following to mark@veteranhomeadvantage.com with subject: “Agent Profile Info — [Your Name]”

  • Full name as it should appear on your profile
  • Phone number — the number clients will call
  • Email address — your business email
  • Military background — branch, years served, or spouse/family connection
  • License number and state
  • Primary service area — e.g. Glendale / West Valley
  • Years in real estate
  • Deals closed (approximate — e.g. 25+)
  • Bio — 3-4 paragraphs in first person about your background and why you serve veterans
  • Tagline — one short line, e.g. “PCS Specialist. VA Loan Expert.”
  • Service areas — which cities from the VHA area list you cover
  • Social media URLs — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn (optional)
Review and Approve Your Agent Profile
Once Mark builds your profile page, review it and confirm everything is accurate before it goes live.
Content
  1. Mark will send you a preview link to your profile at veteranhomeadvantage.com/agents/your-name/
  2. Review all information carefully — name, phone, bio, photo, service areas.
  3. Reply to Mark with any corrections needed.
  4. Once approved Mark will publish your profile and it will appear on the Meet the Team page.
Complete Your VA Loan Training
All VHA agents must complete our veteran-focused training on VA loans, BAH, and military relocation before receiving leads.
Training
  1. Mark will schedule a 1-on-1 training session within your first week.
  2. Topics covered: VA loan process, entitlement and COE, BAH calculations, PCS timelines, working with Barrett Financial Group, and VHA systems.
  3. Training typically takes 2-3 hours total across 1-2 sessions.
  4. You will not receive leads until training is complete.

GoHighLevel CRM Setup

Accept Your GHL User Invitation
Mark will add you as a User inside the VHA GoHighLevel account. Check your email for the invitation.
Technology
  1. Check your email for an invitation from GoHighLevel / Veteran Home Advantage.
  2. Click the invitation link and set up your GHL password.
  3. Log in at app.gohighlevel.com
  4. You will be added as a User inside the main VHA account — no separate sub-account needed.
  5. You will have access to your assigned pipeline and leads only — not other agents’ data.
  6. Contact Mark if you do not receive the invitation within 24 hours of your license transfer being confirmed.

Set Up Your GHL Calendar
Configure your booking calendar so clients can schedule consultations directly from your agent profile page.
Technology
  1. Log into GHL → click Calendars in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Create Calendar → select Simple Calendar.
  3. Name it: [Your Name] — Free Consultation
  4. Set your availability — days and hours you are available for calls.
  5. Set appointment duration to 30 minutes.
  6. Under Notifications — add your email and phone to receive booking alerts.
  7. Save the calendar.
  8. Click Share → copy the booking URL — it will look like: api.leadconnectorhq.com/widget/bookings/your-name
  9. Send this URL to Mark so he can add it to your agent profile page.

Set Up Your Lead Notification Workflow
Configure GHL to notify you by text and email the moment a new lead comes in from your agent profile page.
Technology
  1. GHL → Automations → New Workflow
  2. Name it: New Lead — [Your Name]
  3. Trigger → Inbound Webhook → save and copy the webhook URL
  4. Add action: Create/Update Contact — map firstName, lastName, phone, email
  5. Add action: Add Tag → tag: Agent Lead — [Your Name]
  6. Add action: Send Internal Notification → set to your phone number for SMS alert
  7. Add action: Add to Pipeline → select VHA Pipeline → Stage: New Lead
  8. Click Save then Publish the workflow
  9. Copy the webhook URL and send to Mark — he will add it to your agent profile so leads route directly to you

Send Mark Your Webhook URL and Calendar URL
Once your calendar and workflow are set up, send both URLs to Mark so he can connect them to your profile page.
Technology
  1. Email mark@veteranhomeadvantage.com with subject: “GHL URLs — [Your Name]”
  2. Include your GHL Calendar URL — from the Share button on your calendar
  3. Include your GHL Webhook URL — from your lead notification workflow trigger
  4. Mark will add both to your agent profile within 24 hours
  5. Submit a test form on your profile page to confirm leads are routing correctly
Test Your Full Lead Flow End to End
Submit a test lead on your agent profile page and confirm it arrives in GHL and you receive a notification.
Technology
  1. Go to your live agent profile: veteranhomeadvantage.com/agents/your-name/
  2. Fill out the contact form with test data — use your own name and phone number
  3. Submit the form
  4. Check your GHL → Contacts — the test contact should appear within seconds
  5. Check your phone — you should receive an SMS notification
  6. Check your pipeline — the lead should appear in the New Lead stage
  7. If anything is missing contact Mark immediately to troubleshoot
  8. Delete the test contact from GHL after confirming everything works

Review Your Live Agent Profile Page
Your profile is now live on the VHA website. Review it one final time and confirm everything is accurate and professional.
Admin
  1. Visit veteranhomeadvantage.com/agents/your-name/
  2. Confirm your photo, name, bio, and contact details are correct
  3. Click your phone number — confirm it dials correctly
  4. Test the booking calendar — confirm it loads and shows your availability
  5. Submit a test form — confirm you receive the notification
  6. Share your profile link with friends or family to review
Share Your Profile on Social Media
Announce your new role as a VHA agent to your network — your profile page is a powerful lead generation tool.
Admin
  1. Share your profile link on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  2. Tag @veteranhomeadvantage in your post
  3. Suggested caption: “Excited to announce I have joined the Veteran Home Advantage team — Arizona’s veteran-owned real estate brokerage. If you or anyone you know is buying or selling near Luke AFB, I would love to help. Link in bio.”
  4. Mark will reshare your post from the VHA accounts for added visibility
Schedule Your First 1-on-1 with Mark
Book your first weekly check-in with Mark to review your pipeline, answer questions, and plan your first 30 days.

  2. Come prepared with any questions about the VA loan process, GHL, or VHA systems
  3. Mark will walk you through your first active leads and help you prioritize follow-up
  4. Weekly check-ins continue every week for your first 90 days
