Growing up, I got a pretty cool mix of experiences, bouncing between the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn, New York, and the warm, welcoming vibe of Florence, South Carolina. That really taught me how to adapt and appreciate all sorts of different communities and people – and I think that’s super helpful when you’re trying to understand what someone truly needs in a home.
Then came my time in the military, starting back in 2008. Being a Culinary Specialist was more than just cooking; it was about making sure everyone felt taken care of, making meals that brought a little bit of home to wherever we were. That feeling of serving my fellow service members, making sure they were fueled and ready, really cemented my desire to help others.
And let’s be real, military life means a lot of moving! All those PCS moves really hit home how vital it is to have a stable place, a real “home base.” There’s nothing quite like the relief of finally settling in. That’s why, when I finally bought my first place in 2017, it was this huge, “aha!” moment. Getting those keys, knowing this was *my* space, where I could truly put down roots – it sparked this incredible passion for real estate. I realized then just how much a home means, beyond just four walls. It’s where memories are made, where you unwind, where you build your life.
So, here I am, taking all those experiences – the adaptability from my childhood, the dedication to service from my military days, and the deep personal understanding of what a home truly represents – and pouring it into helping others.
